Release, Unwind, Let Go
I invite you to begin -
your healing journey.
Living your life in discomfort?
Missing out on activities you enjoy as your pain worsens?
Taking pain meds that simply mask your symptoms and don’t address the cause of your pain?
Getting injections that don’t last and/or have minimal impact on your pain level?
Taking test after test which are either inconclusive, or show that nothing is wrong?
Being told surgery is your only solution?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, Myofascial Release (MFR) Therapy could be the solution you’re looking for.
Myofascial Release (MFR) is different than traditional massage and involves applying gentle, sustained pressure into fascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore function. Slowly applying pressure to the system bypasses the body’s subconscious protective responses and allows the therapist to meld with the client to elongate and rehydrate the fascia. It is effective for long-term treatment of pain and dysfunction in the body.
It is incredible to witness the change, hope and relief my clients often experience when they are able to let go of the pain they've experienced for so long and return to the activities of a life they love. I look forward to working with you on your journey to a pain-free you!

Myofascial Release (MFR) involves applying gentle, sustained pressure into fascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore function. Slowly applying pressure to the system bypasses the body’s subconscious protective responses and allows the therapist to meld with the client to elongate and rehydrate the fascia.
MFR is particularly effective when sessions are grouped as close together as possible (such as 2 treatments per week). Many people receive several MFR treatments within a short time to address a specific concern, then receive “MFR maintenance” sessions every few months.

What is Fascia?
Trauma (falls, accidents, physical and emotional abuse), irregular posture, lack of motion, inflammatory reactions (autoimmune conditions, illnesses, and disease), surgical procedures, and the effects of gravity on a misaligned body can create restrictions in the fascial system. These life experiences can solidify your connective tissue, creating symptoms of pain, decreased range of motion, fatigue, feelings of achiness, and imbalance.
MFR can help the following conditions and many more!
Back, Neck or Hip Pain
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Restrictive Scar Tissue from impact or surgery
Your fascia is a web of connective tissue that envelops, supports, and protects every structure in your body. It exists from head to toe as one continuous, uninterrupted system. When you injure yourself, you also injure your interconnected fascial tissue, causing it to tighten and dehydrate forming restrictions. Due to the continuous nature of your fascia, the restrictions in one part of the body affect the tissue and structures in other parts, including muscles, joints, nerves, blood vessels, and even your organs. Often the pain you feel in one place originates elsewhere in your body.

My deepest concern is to keep you protected and safe; however, even with all of my mitigation efforts, bodywork involves maintained touch and close physical proximity over an extended period of time, there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19. If you do not feel comfortable with this risk, please contact me to cancel/reschedule. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (907)795-6545.
Face coverings are required at all times in the clinic and during your entire session. I will also be wearing at minimum a surgical mask.
